Mainboard jumper settings
Before replacing the mainboard, ensure that the problem is not due to an incorrect jumper setting or a loose
connection.
Setting a jumper
The mainboard jumpers are to set system conguration options. When setting the jumpers be sure the shunts
(jumper caps) are placed on the correct pins.
CAUTION
Ensure that the system is turned off before you change a jumper setting.
Otherwise, damage to the system or unpredictable results may occur.
This 2-pin jumper is Open.
This 2-pin jumper is Closed.
This 3-pin jumper is Closed on pins 1 and 2.
