Select the PED option to perform a key injection to load the terminal with the encrypted debit and data
keys. Key injections may be performed remotely or locally. The terminal should be preconfigured with
the necessary keys upon arrival. If a key injection is needed, a remote key injection may be performed.
Before performing a remote key injection, the terminal must contain the necessary developer
authentication and encryption certificates and the terminal serial number must be registered in the RKI
server. Contact PAX customer support if the certificates are not present on the terminal or to register
the serial number.
