Sondes
(Optional) Attach a sonde to the camera. A sonde is a self-contained transmitter for tracing the paths of
pipes, sewers, ducts and drains.
By attaching a Pearpoint flexisonde (or solid sonde) to your camera and using a Radiodetection locator
such as the RD5100S or RD7100DL, you can locate and track the camera as it navigates a pipe.
Flexisonde: This sonde (built-in on P541c/P341 Plumbers reels) fits between the pushrod and the
camera, allowing the system to better negotiate bends in the pipe.
Solid sonde: This sonde adds extra rigidity to the camera and it is ideal for ‘long push’ inspections. A solid
sonde can be used in conjunction with a universal flexi; see below.
Note: The sonde fits on the pushrod between the rod termination socket and the camera.
