With the 2 mark facing toward
the lens, push the battery in until
it locks into place.
To remove the battery, push the battery
lock switch (3) in the direction of the
arrow.

Close the battery cover.
The battery cover is locked.
You can confirm the remaining battery level by checking the following
symbols displayed on the monitor.

w (green) Battery is full.
x (green) Battery is close to full.
y (yellow) Battery is running low.
z (red) Battery is almost empty.
[Battery depleted] The camera turns off after displaying the message.
y or z (red) may appear even when the battery level is sufficient if the
camera is used at low temperatures or for a long period of time. In this situation,
turn the camera off and on again. If w (green) appears, you can use the
camera.
