2.32 Knee lever stroke limitation
Requirement
When the knee lever is fully pressed, there must be a clearance as indicated below
between presser foot and needle plate, and the presser bar lifter must drop down by its
own weight.
Model A and Subclass -731/..:

● Unscrew screw 1
(nut 2) a few turns.
● Raise the presser bar lifter
● Place the 7 mm or 9 mm thick part of the feeler gauge under the presser foot and lower
the presser bar lifter.
● Making sure that the presser foot does not lift off the feed dog gauge, press the knee
lever fully to the right and hold it there.
● Turn screw 1
fully in and then back out by a half turn.
● Tighten nut 2.
