Your phone includes a telephone answering
machine that records unanswered calls when
it is on. You can access the answering machine
remotely and change the settings through
the answering machine menu on the handset.
The button on the base station lights up
when the answering machine is on.
You can turn the answering machine on or o
through the base station or the handset.
Turn the answering machine

2 Select [ANS. MACHINE] > [TAM ON/
OFF], then press to conrm each
selection.
3 Select [ON] or [OFF], then press to
conrm.
The setting is saved.
Set the answer mode
1 Press .
2 Select [ANS. MACHINE] > [TAM
SETTINGS] > [ANSWER MOE], then
press to conrm each selection.
3 Select [ANS & REC] or [ANSWER ONLY],
then press to conrm.
The setting is saved.
[ANS & REC] means calls are answered and
messages are recorded. [ANSWER ONLY]
means calls are only answered, messages
are not recorded.

Set the answering machine
language
The answering machine language is the
language for the outgoing message (OGM).
1 Press .
2 Select [ANS. MACHINE] > [TAM
SETTINGS] > [TAM LANGUAGE], then
press to conrm each selection.
3 Select a language, then press to
conrm.
The language setting is saved.
When the answering machine is switched
on, it answers incoming calls after a certain
number of rings based on the ring delay
setting.
