About editing recordable
DVDs
After a recording has been made, this
recorder allows you to edit the title or
video content. You can erase or protect
the recording, and rename the recording.
If a DVD±R has been nalized, it cannot
be edited.

Play the selected title (recording).
{ Erase }
Erase the selected title or all the titles.
{ Protect } / { Unprotect }
Protect or unprotect the selected title
against editing or accidental loss of
recordings.
{ Edit }
Change the name of the title, hide any
unwanted scenes or divide a title in the
recording.
Note:
To edit the recordable DVD
(e.g. format, nalize, lock), see the
chapter “System Menu Options -
Disc settings”.
Disc menu index screen
The disc menu index screen shows your
recordings on a recordable DVD. It
should appear on the TV once you load a
recordable DVD or when you press the
DISC-MENU on the remote control.

The disc menu index screen consists of
the following recording information:

The type of disc.
B
The remaining recording time in different
recording mode. Press REC MODE to
change the recording mode.
C
The thumbnail of the title, title’s name
and information.
D
The used space and recording time.
E
The control keys that can be used and
their functions.
Erase title(s)
You can choose to delete a speci c title
(recording) or all the titles from the disc.
A
Press DISC-MENU.
B
Use STWX keys to select the
preferred title and press OK.
The editing menu appears.
