030101 The IIC bus initialisation failed.

030103 The read back value is different from the written value.
Make the EEPROM empty, containing all zeroes.
030200 The clearing of the NVRAM succeeded.
030201 There was an IIC error.
030202 Clearing the NVRAM failed.
Modifies one or more locations in NVRAM and updates
the checksum of the section modified.
