- Check the axial clearance of the rotors using a
trued bar as reference as shown in the figure.
N.B.
MAKE SURE THE TRUED BAR IS POSITIONED PROPERLY
ON THE TWO POINTS ON THE PUMP BODY.

Refitting
- Check there are no signs of wear on the oil pump
shaft or body.
- Check there are no signs of scoring or wear on
the oil pump cover.
- If you detect non-conforming measurements or
scoring, replace the faulty parts or the assembly.
- Fit the cover on the pump being careful to align
the holes (2 on the cover and 2 on the pump body)
fixing the oil pump on the crankcase.
- Fit the oil pump on the crankcase by tightening
the two screws to the prescribed torque.
- Fit the pulley on the pump, the central screw to
the specified torque and the belleville washer.
- Check that there is no seizing and/or friction dur-
ing the pulley rotation.
N.B.
FIT THE BELLEVILLE WASHER SO THAT ITS OUTER
(CURVED) RIM TOUCHES THE PULLEY.
