Setting the TV format
Set the TV SYSTEM switch on the rear panel
to match the TV system in your country or
region. If you have a multi-system TV that can
display both PAL and NTSC signals, set this
switch to AUTO. This will allow you to watch
both PAL and NTSC Video CDs and DVD discs.
This system can convert NTSC to PAL, so if you’ve set the
switch to PAL, you’ll be able to watch any PAL or NTSC disc.
This system will also convert PAL to NTSC, but only for Video
CDs. If you’ve set the switch to NTSC, you’ll be able to watch
any PAL or NTSC Video CD, but only NTSC DVD discs.

Régler le format de la télévision
Réglez le commutateur TV SYSTEM sur le
panneau arrière de façon à adapter le système
à votre pays ou votre région. Si vous possédez
une télévision multi-système qui peut afficher
les signaux PAL et NTSC, réglez ce
commutateur sur AUTO. Vous pourrez ainsi
regarder les disques DVD et les CD vidéo PAL et NTSC.
Ce système peut convertir NTSC en PAL, donc si vous avez
réglé le commutateur sur PAL, vous pourrez regarder les
disques PAL ou NTSC.
Ce système peut aussi convertir PAL en NTSC, mais seulement
pour les CD vidéo. Si vous avez réglé le commutateur sur
NTSC, vous pourrez regarder les CD Vidéo PAL ou NTSC, mais
uniquement les disques DVD NTSC.
Connecting the radio
antennas
Connecting the supplied antennas will allow you to listen to
both AM and FM radio broadcasts. If you find that reception
quality is poor, an outdoor antenna should give you better
sound quality—see Connecting external antennas on page
19-20 for more on how to do this.
Before making or changing antenna connections, make sure
that the power is switched off and the unit disconnected from
the wall power outlet.
1 Pull off the protective shields of both AM
antenna wires.
2 Push open the tabs, then insert one wire fully
into each terminal.
Raccorder les antennes

En raccordant les antennes fournies, vous pourrez écouter les
émissions de radio AM et FM. Si la réception est de mauvaise
qualité, utilisez une antenne extérieure pour obtenir une
qualité de son supérieure – Voir Raccorder des antennes

informations.
Avant d’effectuer ou de modifier les connexions d’antenne,
vérifiez que l’alimentation est coupée et que l’unité est
débranchée.
1 Enlevez les protections des deux fils d’antenne
AM.
2 Ouvrez les languettes, puis introduisez un fil
dans chaque borne.
