During
system
functional
check
the
system
must
be
provided
adequate
D.C.
voltage

and
instrument
air
(4.2
in.
Hg.
min.).
It
is
recommended that
one
engine
be
operating
(minimum)
to
provide
the
necessary
power
and
that
the
aircraft
be
positioned in
a
level
attitude,
during the
functional
check.

Engage
autopilot
by
pushing
programmer
OFF
-
ON
switch
ON.

Rotate
D.G.
HDG bug
left then
right
and
verify
that
control
wheel
movement
corresponds
to
HDG
command
mput.

Press
pitch
modifier
button
first
up
then
down
and
note
that
pitch
control
follows
pitch
command
input.
Autotrim
should
follow
pitch
command input
after
approximately
three
second
delay.
d.
Grasp
control
wheel
and
override
roll
and
pitch
servo
actuators
to
assure
override
capability.
e.
Hold
control
yoke and
disengage
autopilot by
activating
the
control wheel
trim
switch.
f.
Check
controls
through
full
travel
in
roll and
pitch
to
assure
complete
autopilot
disengagement.
g.
Retrim
aircraft
for
takeoff.
