Ambient Light Sensor
The ambient light sensor uses a phototransistor and amplifier circuit to detect intensity of light. The chip itself is considered
a Peripheral Module interface, or PMOD, which is an open standard defined by Digilent Inc for pre-built circuits with a
standard 6-pin interface. The sensor communicates light intensity data using a common communication protocol called
the Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI). Per the SPI protocol, the pinout includes a chip select, data line, clock line power, and
ground.
