10.1 Changing Video Output Without an Image
Problem: No video output or unreadable video output.
Explanation: By default, HD MediaBox outputs 480p from the HDMI port, if on startup your display can’t read this
signal, you may need to change the output resolution and format without being able to see the image.
Solution: You can change the output signal using the Remote Control and the front panel LEDs.
Setup and turn on HD MediaBox by connecting power and a connection to your display.
Turn on HD MediaBox by pressing the key on the Remote Control.
The LED will light up blue during startup and then turn off once it is ready to use.
Pressing the key on the Remote Control will start the POWER LED flashing between green and red.
Pressing a NUMBER key within 5 seconds will directly select the output resolution as follows:
1. Composite/S-video/Component (from 15pin VGA port) in 480i
2. HD YPbPr component (from 15pin VGA port) 480p
3. HD RGB (from 15pin VGA port) 480p
4. HDMI 480p
5. HDMI 720p
6. HDMI 1080i
To select another resolution, repeat steps 4 and 5.
