Why is air seeping back into my Food Saver vacuumed bag?

Air may re-enter the bag if there is a hole or wrinkle; in this case, cut the bag open and reseal it, or use a new bag. Ensure no moisture or liquid is present within the bag seal; you may need to cut open the bag and reseal, or use a new bag. Consider partially freezing foods with excess liquids before vacuum sealing. Also, check for sharp-edged food items that may have punctured the bag; if a puncture is found, use a new bag. Make sure no liquids were drawn to the sealing strip area. Check for loose, worn, or cracked Upper and Lower sealing gaskets. If you have foods with high liquid content, cut the bag open, wipe the top inside, and reseal.
