Approaches
a) During GPS approaches, the pilot mll$t verify the SOON Series unit is operating in the
appt08dl mode. (LNAV. LNAV+V, I.J\/NAV, or LP\/).
b) When condudlng approaches referenc:ed to true North, the heading selection on the AUX
pages must be adjusted to TRUE.
c} Accomprishmem of an ILS, LOC, LOC-BC, LOA, SDF, MLS, VOR approach, or any other
type of approach not approved for GPS overlay, is not authorized with GPS navigation
guidance.
d) U!!e of the GNS 530W VORILOCIGS receiver to fly approaches not approved for GPS
requires VORILOCIGS navigation data to be present on the external indicator (i.e. P'Ol)er CDI
souma Geledion).
e) For aircraft with remote source selection annunciation or remote GPS navigation
annunciations installed, conducting IFR approadles Is prol!ibited if the remote annunci3tion Is
found to be inoperatiVe during pre-fligl!t. (This !Imitation does not pmhibit the conduct of an
IFR appmaeh if the required remote annunciation fails during flight. The Indications provided
on the SOON Series unit display may be used a9 a backup).
