LIMITATIONS
1. The Garmin GNS 530 Pilot's Guide, PIN 190-00181-00, Rev. C, dated April 2003, or
later appropriate revision, and Garmin 400/500 Series Pilot's Guide Addendum,
Display Interfaces, PIN
190-00140-10 Rev. D, dated March 2003 or later appropriate
revision must be immediately available to the flight crew whenever the GNS 530
system is in use .
2. BHT SPZ-7600 Integrated Flight Control System
Pilot's Manual for the Bell 412,
Publication No.
A28-1146-085-00, Rev. 1, dated September 1993 or later appropriate
revision must be available to flight crew during flight.
3. The Garmin GTX330 Mode S Transponder Pilot's Guide PIN 190-00207-00, Rev. A
along with the 400/500 Series Garmin Display Interfaces Pilot's Guide Addendum PIN
190-00140-13, Rev. C, dated February 2005, or later revision, must
be immediately
available to the flight
crew whenever the GTX330 Transponder is in use with the GNS
530System.
4. The GNS 530 in this installation utilizes the following Software Versions:
Sub-Svstem Software Version
Main 6.01
GPS 3.03
COMM 6.00
VOR/LOC 5.01
GJS 4.00
The Main software version
is displayed on the GNS 530 self test page immediately
after tum-on for 5 seconds. The remaining system software versions can be verified
on the AUX group sub-page 2, "SOFTWARE/DATABASE
VER".
5. IFR enroute and terminal navigation predicated upon the GNS 530's GPS Receiver is
prohibited unless the pilot verifies the currency of the data base or verifies each
seleded waypoint for accuracy by reference to current approved data.
6. Instrument approach navigation predicated upon the GNS 530's GPS Receiver must
be accomplished in accordance with approved instrument approach procedures that
are retrieved from the GPS equipment data base. The GPS equipment database
must incorporate the current update cycle .
{a) Instrument approaches utilizing the GPS receiver must be conduded in the
approach mode and Receiver Autonomous Integrity Monitoring (RAIM) must
be
available at the Final Approach Fix.
{b) Accomplishment of ILS, LOC, LOC-BC, LOA, SDF, MLS or any other type of
approach not approved for GPS
overlay with the GPS 500's GPS receiver is not
authorized.
(c) When an alternate airport is required by the applicable operating rules, it must be
served by an approach based on other than GPS or Loran-C navigation, the
aircraft must have the operational equipment capable of using that navigation aid
and the required navigation aid must be operational.
