3. CONTROL, OPERATION INFORMATION: Reference the "FAA Approved Rotorcraft Flight Manual Supplement for Garmin GNS
530 VHF COM Transceiver I VOR I ILS Receiver I GPS Receiver", listed in section 8 of this FAA Form 337 along with Garmin
International Inc. GNS 530 Pilot's Guide, PIN 190-00181-00, Rev. C, dated April 2003 or later appropriate revision for detailed
operating instructions.
4. SERVICING INFORMATION: Reference the applicable manufacturer's installation instructions along with the EA drawing listed
above.
5. MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS: This modification shall be inspected at BHT Scheduled Inspections Part A or Part B as
applicable (ref: BHT-412-MM below) and Annually

(a) The scope and detail contained in FAR 43 Appendix D, as applicable to the particular line item(s).
(b) Bell Helicopter Textron Model 412 Maintenance Manual BHT-412-MM-1, Rev. 10, dated 30 June 2005, or later revision,
Chapter 5 - Inspections; (Note: Aircraft maintenance manuals are available to each aircraft owner from Bell Helicopter
Textron).
(c) Manufacturer's publications, as referenced in Section 8 of this FAA Form 337; (Note: Many manufacturers' publications are
proprietary to the manufacturer and it's approved facilities). Inspections, maintenance and I or repairs are limited to
authorized persons with the approved current publications, and training.
6. TROUBLE SHOOTING: If a failure or malfunction is noted, the wiring in the aircraft may be checked for proper connections per
installation print, as referenced in Section 8 of this FAA Form 337 by authorized persons with the approved current publications, and
training. If no wiring problems are found, refer to item 5.
7. REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT: In accordance with the Bendix/King Installation Manual PIN 006-15533-0000, Rev. 5, January
1999 or later approved revision using accepted methods, techniques, and practices as addressed in this FAA Form 337. Removal
and replacement must be performed by authorized persons with the approved current publications and training.
