3. Lubricate the mounting bracket pins with Polaris Premium
All Season Grease (PN 2871423), and install the rubber
dust seal boots.
4. Compress the mounting bracket and make sure the dust
seals are fully seated. Install the brake pads. Clean the disc
and pads with brake parts cleaner or denatured alcohol to
remove any dirt, oil or grease.
Caliper Installation
1. Install caliper on hub strut, and torque mounting bolts.
2. Install brake line and tighten securely with a flare nut
wrench.
3. Install the adjuster screw and turn until stationary pad
contacts disc, then back off 1/2 turn.
4. Follow brake bleeding procedure outlined earlier in this
chapter.
5. Install wheels and torque wheel nuts to specification.
NOTE: If new brake pads are installed, it is
recommended that a burnishing procedure be
performed to extend pad service life and reduce
noise. Start machine and slowly increase speed to
15 mph. Gradually apply brakes to stop machine.
Repeat procedure 10 times.
CAUTION
Do not allow grease to come into contact with the
piston and seals.
Damage may occur to the components.

18 ft. lbs. (24 Nm)
18 ft. lbs.
(24 Nm)
Front Wheel Nut Torque:
37 ft. lbs. (50 Nm)
