The Instant Messages screen displays. The phone number or URL you
entered or selected displays on the screen.
3. Do one of the following:
— To choose from various pre-scripted short messages, press the Select
soft key. From the Message Select screen, scroll to the message you
want.
or
— To compose a custom message, press the Edit soft key. Then, enter
your message. (To enter a message, see Navigating Menus and
Entering Data on page 1-10.)
4. Press the Send soft key.
5. Press to return to the idle screen.
Restarting the Phone

Periodically, you may need to restart your phone so your phone can:
• Accept a new configuration
• Accept new software
Note
If your phone malfunctions, you may be able to restore normal operation without
restarting it. Before you restart your phone, contact your system administrator.
