Setting the plough to the tractor using "Servomatic"
„SERVOMATIC“ enables the optimum adaption of plough to tractor.
The following setting controls should be carried out in order.
• Never reach into the area where danger of crushing
exists as long as parts are still moving.
• Do not stand in the swinging range of the implement.
1. Set furrow width
- See chapter "PRESETTING THE PLOUGH".
2. Furrow width setting of the first ploughing component
(backfurrow)
The cutting width (S2) of the first ploughing component is set by turning
the spindle (VF).
Furrow width (S1) to narrow
- turn spindle (VF) longer
Furrow width (S2) to wide
- turn spindle (VF) shorter
Furrow width (S2) correct
- Spindle is correctly set according to table.
See chapter "PRESETTING THE PLOUGH“
Hydraulic furrow width adjustment (SERVO PLUS)
However an additional double-action control unit is necessary on
the tractor.
3. Setting the drawing point (Z)
Correct setting
The drawing line (ZL) runs through the mid-point (M) of the tractor’s
rear axle. No side pull arises from the tractor.
The plough is easy to pull.
- Spindle (ZP) is set correctly.
See chapter "PRESETTING THE PLOUGH“
Incorrect setting
The drawing line does not run through the mid-point of the tractor’s
rear axle.
a) Tractor is drawn into already ploughed area during ploughing. This
can only be compensated by steering in the opposite direction.
- Turn spindle (ZP) longer
b) Tractor is drawn into unploughed area during ploughing.
- Turn spindle (ZP) shorter
