STEP 3: Apply Control Solution
• Shake the control solution bottle
well then remove cap.
• Squeeze the bottle and discard the
first drop then wipe off the dispenser
tip with clean tissue paper or cotton.
• Squeeze the bottle again to get a
second drop onto a clean,
non-absorbent surface or on
your fingertip. See Figure 16.
• Apply the drop to the opening of the
absorbent channel of the test strip (where it meets the narrow
channel) until the confirmation window is filled. See Figure 17
• The meter will beep and begin to count down.

Caution: To avoid contaminating the control solution with
the content of the test strip, DO NOT DIRECTLY APPLY
CONTROL SOLUTION ONTO THE TEST STRIP.
