12.2 Programming the Time of Day a Test Starts
The time of the day in which a test is started is fully programmable. It is usual to choose a time of day for the
test which will impact the least on the emergency lighting coverage of a premises. The default for the
Digilite® DL500 is 12 o'clock, midnight.
To program the time, double click in the Group Test Time cell for the group being programmed and enter the
start time for the test in 24 hour format. Figure 12.1 illustrates the test time set to quarter past two in the
morning.

12.3 Programming the Duration Test Month
Normally a functional test is performed on a group. This is a shorter test (typically 5 minutes) which confirms
that the main operating parameters of the device are within limits. However, annually, this is replaced with a
Duration test, where the fitting is tested for the full rated duration (typically 3 hours).
The month of the year when this occurs is programmable. Top do this double click on the 'Duration Test
month' cell for the group being programmed. A calendar is displayed (illustrated in figure 12.2), select the
required month by clicking on it.
