15.0 Uploading and Downloading Files to the Digilite® DL500
Completed site files must be downloaded to the memory of the Digilite® DL500 in order form it to be able to
use them, site files must also be uploaded in order to view and backup changes made locally on the Digilite®
DL500. Site files must also be uploaded to allow the historic event logs to be viewed.
15.1 Downloading a Site File to the Digilite® DL500
To download a site file to the Digilite® DL500, follow the instructions is section 8.0 of this document and
connect the PC to the Digilite® DL500.
Once connected navigate to the Panel-Send settings to panel option of the PC configuration tool, and
transfer the file into the Digilite® DL500.
When the file has been transferred and verified the PC configuration tool will display the following screen,
illustrated in figure 15.

To upload a site file from the Digilite® DL500, follow the instructions is section 8.0 of this document and
connect the PC to the Digilite® DL500.
Once connected navigate to the Panel-Get settings from panel option of the PC configuration tool, and
transfer the file from the Digilite® DL500 into the PC configuration tool.
16.0 Updating the Digilite® DL500 Firmware
The firmware of the Digilite® DL500 can be updated using the PC configuration tool.
To update the firmware in the Digilite® DL500, follow the instructions is section 8.0 of this document and
connect the PC to the Digilite® DL500.
Then navigate to the Panel->Update panel firmware window of the PC configuration tool.
A window will appear prompting the user to choose the firmware file to be downloaded, illustrated in figure
16.0

Choose the relevant file which will be in the format of
DIGIOS_VX.XXX.hex, where X.XXX is the version of the file, then
click 'Write'.
Ensure the file you are choosing is correct, and that it is fully
compatible with the version of Digilite® DL500 it is being
programmed into.
