Configuration Settings
Overview
The proper configuration of the MPS1000 depends on whether you are installing one or two
CPC358 cards. One CPC358 card is needed for the 4-port and 8-port configurations, while a
second CPC358 is needed for the 16-port configuration. Installation of the CPC358 for any
configuration is the same as described in the previous chapter.

Jumper and Switch Location
Proper configuration of the MPS1000 requires that you configure jumpers K5 and K38 and set
DIP switches SW1-1 and SW1-2 on the CPC358. The location of these jumpers and DIP
switches on the CPC358 are shown in Figure 6-1, “K5, K38 Jumpers and SW1 Switch Location
on the CPC358,” on page 44.
