For the correct and safe installing of this product, it is essential that all p ersonnel follow
generally accepted safety procedures in addition to the safety precautions specified in this
document.

1.3 Safety Instructions
The WaveGuide is a radar based level gauge for measuring wave and water-level information
in offshore environment, lakes and rivers.
Warning
Only use the instrument for its intended purpose.
1.3.1 Safety
The mechanical and electrical installation shall only be carried out by trained personnel
with knowledge of the requirements for installation of explosion proof equipment in (po-
tentially) an explosive atmosphere. The entire installation procedure shall be carried out
in accordance with national, local and company regulations and standards.
