Thelocknutshouldbetightenedsufcientlyto
securelyholdthedisplayinposition.Donot
overtighten.
Note:Thesuppliedgasketprovidesaseal
betweentheunitandasuitablyatandstiff
mountingsurfaceorbinnacle.Thegasketshould
beusedinallinstallations.Itmayalsobe
necessarytouseamarine-gradesealantifthe
mountingsurfaceorbinnacleisnotentirelyatand
stifforhasaroughsurfacenish.
5.4Flushmountingthecardreader
Forushmountingyoumustrebatethemounting
surfacetoaccommodatechartreaderhousing.

1.Checktheselectedlocationfortheunit.Aclear,
atareawithsuitableclearancebehindthepanel
isrequired.
2.Beforemodifyingthemountingsurface,refer
tothedimensionssuppliedinthisdocumentto
ensurethereisenoughspacefortheunitand
cable.
3.Fixthesuppliedmountingtemplatetothe
selectedlocation,usingmaskingorself-adhesive
tape.
4.Drill4holesasindicatedonthemounting
templatetoacceptthexings.
5.Usinga40mm(1.6in)holecutter,drilloutthe
cut-outareaidentiedonthemountingtemplate.
6.Followtherebatecut-outlineonthetemplateto
cutarebatearoundtheholewithadepthof8.5
mm(0.33in),toaccepttheunit.
7.Ensurethatthecardreadertsintotheremoved
areaandthenremoveroughedges.
8.Afxthesuppliedgasketontotherearofthecard
readerandpressrmlyontotheange.
9.Feedthecablethroughtheholeandconnectto
themultifunctiondisplay’scardreaderconnector.
10.Placethecardreaderintotherebateandsecure
usingthexingsprovided.
11.Insertthecardreaderlabeloverthetopofthe
cardreaderslotssothatthemountingscrew
locationsarecovered.
Note:Theappropriatetighteningtorqueanddrill
bitsizetousedependsonthethicknessofthe
mountingsurfaceandthetypeofmaterialitis
madefrom.
