Whenconnectedtotherelevantdepthtransducer,
youri40depthinstrument:
Providesdepthinformation,ineitherfeet(ft),
metres(M)orfathoms(FA).
Recordstheminimumdepthencounteredduring
theperiodtheunitisswitchedon.
Enablesyoutodenealarmthresholdsforshallow
alarm,deepalarm,shallowanchoralarmand
deepanchoralarm.
Enablesyoutoseewhatoffsethasbeenapplied
tothedepthreading.
Note:Therequireddepthunitsareselectedduring
Usercalibration.
Itshouldbenotedthat:
Up/Downdepth-trendarrowsaredisplayed,ifthe
seabedisrisingorfallingatasignicantrate.
Minimumdepthreadingisresettozeroatpower
up.
8.2Calibration
Beforerstusecalibrationproceduresmustbe
carriedouttoensureoptimumperformanceofthe
instrumentwiththevessel.
