Thereare2typesoftestcall:

testcallservice(MMSI:003669999).Thistype
oftestcallwillreceiveanautomatedresponse
(acknowledgement).
•Testcalltoanothervesselthathasaradiothat
supportsthetestcallfeature.Y ourradiowill
automaticallyacknowledgetestcallsreceivedfrom
otherradios.
ForradiosthatdoNOTsupportthetestcallfeature,
correctradiooperationcanbetestedbymakingan
Individualcallonchannel70toanotherDSCVHFradio.
Itisrecommendedthatonceyou'vesuccessfullyplaced
atestcallyouaddthetestcallMMSItoyourradio's
Phonebookforeasyretrievalforfuturetestcalls.For

1.Select Phonebooktomakeatestcalltoacontact
savedinyourPhonebook,or
2.Select RecentCallstomakeatestcalltoacontact
thatyouhavecalledrecently,or
3.Select EnterMMSItomanuallyentertheMMSI
numberofthestationyouwanttosendatestcall.
4.SelectacontactorenteranMMSImanuallyand
pressthe
OKbutton.
Thetestcallissent.
5.IfyoucalledtheUSCoastGuardautomated
responsetestcallMMSI(003669999),waitforan
acknowledgement.Ifyoumadeatestcalltoanother
vesselwithatestcallcapableradio
,yourradiowill
waitforaresponse.
Whenanacknowledgementisreceived,anaudible
alarmissoundedandthemessage(envelope)icon
isdisplayed.
