16,thesecondprioritychannel(Channel09(default))
andthecurrentlyselectedchannel.Thesecond
prioritychannelcanalsobesettoauserdefined
channel.
Whentheradiodetectsatransmission,Watchmodeis
suspendeduntilthetransmissionends;watchmodewill
thenrecommence.
SettingWatchmode
FromtheWatchModemenu: Menu>WatchMode.
1.SelectDualW atchor TripleWatchasrequired.
TheradioisnowinWatchmode.
2.Select2ndprioritychanneltoselectadifferent
secondprioritychannelforT riplewatch.
3.DuringWatchmode,pressthe Backbuttonatany
timetoendtheWatchmodeandresumenormal
operation.
7.2ScanMode
Scanmodeenablesautomaticsearchingforchannels
thatarecurrentlybroadcasting.
Scanmodewillsearchthroughavailablechannels
andstopwhenitfindsachannelthatiscurrently
broadcasting.Ifthebroadcaststopsorislostformore
than5secondsthenthescanwillresume.
Channelscanbetemporarilyremovedfromanactive
scan,andthedirectionofscancanalsobechanged.
Whenthescanreachesthelastchannelinthebandthe
scancycleisrepeated.
Thefollowingscansoptionsareavailable:

AllChannels—Allchannelsinthefrequencyband
theradioissettoarescannedinsequence.
• AllChannels+16—Allchannelsinthefrequency
bandtheradioissettoarescanned,aftereach
channelisscannedprioritychannel16isscanned.
•SavedChannels—Onlychannelssavedtotheradio’s
memoryarescannedinsequence.
• SavedChannels+16—Onlychannelssavedtothe
radio’smemoryarescanned,aftereachchannelis
scannedprioritychannel16isscanned.
Note:
Iftheweatheralertfunctionisactivated,theweather
alertchannelisincludedinthescan.

Scanmodeisstartedfromthemainmenu.

ScanModemenu: Menu>ScanMode.
1.SelecttherelevantScanmode.
TheradioisnowinScanmode.
2.Select EditSavedChannelstoselectthechannels
thatwillbescannedwhenperformingaSaved
channelscan.
3.DuringScanmode,pressthe
Backbuttonatanytime
toendtheScanmodeandresumenormaloperation.

Channel16isthededicatedprioritychannel.
Thedefaultsecondaryprioritychannelischannel09.
Thesecondprioritychannelcanbechangedifdesired.
