ALAR M MESSAGE POSSIBL E CAUSE and SOLUTION
CURRENT LIMIT
Serious d rive failure the driv e is t aking too mu ch current due to
short circuit or jamming. Check the drive unit.
DRIVE STOPPED
The autopilot is unable to turn the rudder (this occurs if the weather
load on helm is too high, or if the rudder position sensor has passed
beyond the preset rud der limits or rudder ends tops).
Check drive and rudder pos ition sensor.
LOW BA TTER Y
Supply voltage has dr opped below acceptable limits .
T o respond to a Low Battery alarm:
pr ess st andby t o clear th e alarm and return t o hand steering
• start the engin e to recharge the battery
LRN FAIL 1

AutoLearn not completed successfully .
F ailure codes:
1
= Auto Learn has not been carried out (default s etting)
2
= AutoLearn failed, usually du e to manual interruption
4
= AutoLearn failed, probab ly due to drive or compass failure
Repeat the Aut oLearn pr ocedur e.
MOT POW
SWAPPED
Motor cab les are connected to power terminals (and power cables
are connected to motor termi nals) at course computer . T urn off
power and swap ov er connections .
NO DA T A
Caused b y any of the fo llowing s ituat ions:
• the compass is not connected
• the autopilo t is in Wind Vane mod e and it has not received wind
angle da ta for 30 secon ds
• the autopilo t is in T rack mode and:
the autopi lot is not receiving SeaT alk navigation data, or
the posit ion sensor (GPS , Loran, Decca) is receiving a low
str ength s ignal this will clear when the sign al impro ves
Check connections to the compas s, wind ins trument and naviga
tor.
Note:
Th e autopilot s tops adjus ting the heading as soon as it loses
data.
NO PILOT
The co ntroller i s not receiving d ata from the Smart Pilot co mputer.
Check connections and check course com put er is switched on.
NO RUDREF
Po ssible fault with rudder pos ition sensor – check connections .
