Grey Water System
The grey water system option consists of a holding tank along with a
deck mounted waste pump-out tting. Water from a head sink normally
exits the boat at a through hull tting. With the grey water system any
used potable water is stored via the drain system to a holding tank
through the use of a sump type pump and box. Once the grey water
holding tank is full it is pumped overboard by a pumping station vacuum
pump much the same way a toilet holding tank is pumped out.
This system is environmentally friendly as it keeps many soap related
alkalies and harsh detergents out of the water supply. Check with local
and state agencies regarding grey water regulations as select lakes and
waterways require grey water systems.
