CHAPTER 4
4-12
As part of the direct current circuitry the engine features a breaker
with a reset button or an in-line fuse. These engine overcurrent
devices protect the engine wiring from overloads. Refer to the engine
manufacturer’s manual for the device location and operation.
Also, a fuse panel and breaker panel at the helm protect DC components.
If they “blow” due to an overload, they can be replaced at the panel
under the helm. Replace with the same amperage and type. Carry extra
fuses which are available at marine supply stores or the closest Regal
dealer parts department. Refer to your engine manual for additional
information.
DC Circuit Protection
Battery Switch
A battery switch is installed on the house and engine cranking circuits..
See the section on the battery management panel for operating
instructions.
AVOID DAMAGE TO THE ALTERNATOR
AND OR CHARGING SYSTEM COMPONENTS.
NEVER TURN THE BATTERY SWITCH TO THE “OFF”
POSITION WITH THE ENGINE RUNNING.
