5.7 Calibrating (aligning) the print units and cartridges
Unlike printers with only one moving print unit, the XPS-80/90 op-
erates with several print units, which remain stationary during
printing. The cartridges must therefore be exactly set (calibrated)
with respect to each other to ensure a print image with no mis-
alignments or distortions.
Depending on any deviations from an optimum print image, vari-
ous types of calibration may be required.
Calibration is performed in the XPS-80/90 programming mode.
