• Do not attempt to open or re-fill an ink cartridge. Any such ac-
tion may damage the cartridge and may cause the cartridge
to leak ink into the printer, causing damage to the printer.
2.3 Placement of the XPS-80/90
• The surface on which the XPS-80/90 is placed must be hori-
zontal and sufficiently stable to bear its weight. The printer is
set up on four pan legs, which can compensate uneven sur-
faces within certain limits.
• Select a placement location, which protects all parts of the
printer from extreme temperature and humidity fluctuations,
direct sunlight and excessive heat.
• The XPS-80/90 must not be exposed to vibrations or shocks.
• Place the XPS-80/90 so that you can switch off the power
plug easily at any time.
• Leave enough room behind the printer so that access to the
interfaces is assured.
• Ensure that sufficient stand area is available for the feeder
(when a feeder is used).
