Camshaft: Removal - Refitting

a
a Place beads (24) of SILICONE ADHESIVE SEA-
LANT (see Vehicle: Parts and ingredients for the
repairwork) (04B, Consumables - Products) 2 mm
in diameter and 10 mm long.
a Refit the rocker cover, fitted with a new gasket.
a Torque tighten the rocker cover bolts (11 N.m).
a Connect the oil vapour rebreathing pipe onto the
rocker cover.
a Clip on the rocker cover:
-the fuel return rail,
-the diesel injector wiring.
a Refit:
-the injector rail protector cover mounting,
-the injector rail protector cover.
a Clip the injector rail protector cover into place.
a Refit the oil vapour rebreathing valve.
a Connect the brake servo pipe to the vacuum pump.
a Refit the oil vapour rebreathing valve bracket.
a Fit the gearbox breather pipe mounting.
a Refit the nut of the gearbox breather pipe mounting.
a Connect the oil vapour rebreathing pipe to the oil va-
pour rebreathing valve.
a Fit the clip of the oil vapour rebreathing pipe on the
oil vapour rebreathing valve.
a Connect the oil vapour rebreathing pipe to the air fil-
ter box air outlet pipe.
a Refit the damper valve (see 12A, Fuel mixture, Air
inlet flap: Removal - Refitting, page 12A-11) .
a Refit:
-the turbocharger air outlet pipe (see 12B, Turbo-
charging, Intercooler air inlet pipe: Removal -
Refitting, page 12B-41) ,
- the timing belt (see 11A, Top and front of engine,
Timing belt: Removal - Refitting, page 11A-29) .
a Refit the camshaft position sensor (see 13B, Diesel
injection, Camshaft position sensor: Removal -
Refitting, page 13B-19) .
a Refit:
- the right-hand suspended engine mounting (see
19D, Engine mounting, Right-hand suspended
engine mounting: Removal - Refitting, page
19D-18) ,
- the scoop under the scuttle panel grille (see Scoop
under scuttle panel grille: Removal - Refitting)
(56A, Exterior equipment),
- the scuttle panel grille (see Scuttle panel grille:
Removal - Refitting) (56A, Exterior equipment),

WARNING
Applying excess sealant could cause it to be
squeezed out when parts are tightened. A mix-
ture of sealant and fluid could damage certain
components (engine, radiator, etc.).
