2.2 ERROR CODE LIST
A029 ERROR CODE
Condensate blockage
This water heater has a built in condensate trap. If the
electrode on this condensate trap detects the water
level is full or cannot detect the water level in this con-
densate trap the water heater displays the “ A029 ” er-
ror code on the User Interface.
Diagnostic check items
• External condensate trap.
• Drain line from unit condensate trap.
Turn Power OFF
Remove the drain plug of condensate trap
located bottom of the water heater, and
drain the water in the condensate trap.
Drain some water and reset the drain plug.
And then, turn power ON and operate the
unit.
Remove the drain line connected to the
condensate plug of condensate trap located
at bottom of the water heater, and turn on
the unit.
Unit has a loose connection.
Unit appeared to be operating OK.
Remove and reinsert connector "I" con-
nected the control board.
And then, turn power ON and operate
the unit.
The drain line of the condensate trap has a
blockage.
Replace condensate trap.
Replace control board.
The drain line connected condensate trap
has a blockage.
Please recheck the drain line to remove the
blockage.
