2. Insert the driver [B] in [A] between the guide rail and carriage, and then lift the carriage unit. This is
necessary for engaging the horizontal encoder strip into the sensor's recess without making contact.
3. On the right, pull the right end of the encoder strip [A] and disconnect it.
• The encoder strip has a small metal bracket [B] attached to the end of the encoder strip. Be
sure to remove this with the strip so it does not fall down into the machine.
