1.5 Power Off Sequence
WARNING
To avoid electrical shock and possible injury, always turn off the system
and unplug the power cord from its power source before doing any
procedure that is described in this manual.
1. Check that the data in indicator on the main machine's control panel is not
flashing.
2. Turn off the color controller on the control panel.
3. Turn off the operation power switch on the control panel.
4. Open the front left cover and turn off the main power switch.
5. Unplug the main machine from its power source.
Important:
Open the left and right front covers and allow the machine to cool for about 30
minutes before removing the fusing unit.
Note: The operation switch is on the control panel. (See p.13 "Control Panel".)
The main power switch is in the upper left corner behind the front left cover.
(See p.12 "Names of Components".)
1.6 Specifying System Auto-Reset Timer
To prevent the machine from switching screens while you are replacing parts, set
[System Auto Reset Timer] to "Off". After replacing the parts return the setting to
"On", if necessary.
Note: For details about changing this setting, see General Settings Guide, which
is supplied with this machine.
