To clean the transfer roller, positive and negative voltages are applied to this roller to pull toner particles
from the transfer roller to the belt. The belt-cleaning mechanism then removes this toner from the belt.
Discharge
The discharge plate [A] removes remaining voltage from the printed paper. This is given a positive voltage.
As a result, the voltage is cancelled and paper separation from the transfer belt occurs.
