2.6 POSITIONING
Itisrecommendedtoplacearubberslab(hardness60shore,
thickness 10 mm) or properly sized anti-vibration supports
betweenthedeviceanditssupportsurface.
Theunitshouldberaisedofftheground,asfollows:
• 100mmforinstallationsinordinaryzones.
• 300mmforinstallationsinzonesthatareextremelycold
orsubjecttoheavysnowfall.
 Adequateanti-freezesystemsshouldbeusedforinstalla-
tionsinzonesthatareextremelycoldorsubjecttoheavy
snowfall,wherethepossibilityoffreezingispresent.
 Whileoperatinginheatingmode,theunitgeneratescon-
densation,
whichwillbedepositedonthesupportsurfa-
ce.
Thiscouldfreezeiftheoutdoortemperaturesarebe-
low
zero,thuscreatingahazard.Inthiscase,appropriate
barriers should be installed in order to prevent people
from approaching the unit.

2.7 INSTALLATION ON OLD SYSTEMS OR SYSTEMS IN
NEED OF UPGRADING
WhentheRIELLONXC/NXHunitisinstalledonoldsystemsorsy-
stems
inneedofupgrading,itisrecommendedtoensurethat:
• theelectricalsystemiscompliantwiththe
• applicableregulationsandhasbeeninstalledbyqualied
professionals
• the expansiontank ensures thecomplete absorptionof
theuidexpansioncontainedwithinthesystem
• the system has been washed, cleaned of any sludge or
limescaledeposits,anddeaerated,andthatalltheseals
havebeenchecked
• atreatmentsystemhasbeeninstalledifthesupply/rein-
tegration
waterhasparticularcharacteristics.
 In the event of a replacement, the system must be in-
spectedbythedesignerorbyanothercompetentperson,
andmustbecompliantwiththetechnicalrequirements,
aswellasthecurrentlegislationsandregulations.
 Themanufacturershallbearnoresponsibilityforanyda-
magescausedbyincorrectsysteminstallationand/orthe
failuretoproperlycleanthewatersystem.
2.8 SOURCE WATER SYSTEMS
Theunitsrequiresystemsthatguaranteeaconstantowof
uidtothedevice,withintheminimumandmaximumva-
lues,andwithvolumesthataresufcientforpreventingany
imbalancesinthecoolingcircuitandarecapableofensuring
thenecessarycomfortlevels.
 ThedeviceMAYNOTbeinstalledonopentanksystems.
Complywiththesizeindicatedforthecorrectinstallationof
the unit.
