2.9 HYDRAULIC CONNECTIONS
ThedimensionsandpositionsofRIELLONXC/NXHwatercon-
nectionsareshowninthefollowingtable.
Priortoinstallation,itisrecommendedtothoroughlywash
all the system'spipes in order to eliminate any processing
residues.

 Theselectionandinstallationofthesystem'scomponents
aretheresponsibilityofthesystem'sInstaller,andmust
becarriedoutinaccordancewiththestandardsofgood
practice,aswellasthecurrentLegislation.
 Thesafetyvalves'dischargemustbeconnectedtoanade
-
quate
collectionandevacuationsystem.Thedevice'sma-
nufacturer
isnotresponsibleforanyoodingcausedby
thesafetyvalves'intervention.
 Aunitby-passshouldbemadeinordertowashthepipes
withouthavingtodisconnectthedevice.
Theconnectionpipesmustbeofanadequatediameter,and
mustbesupportedinsuchawaythattheirweightwillnot
bebornebythedevice.
 Systems lled with anti-freeze or other particular sub
-
stances
requiredbylawrequiretheuseofwaterbackow
preventers.
 Checktheloadlossesofthedevice,thesystem,andofany
otheraccessoriesmountedontheline.
 Donotusetheheatpumptotreatindustrialprocesswa
-
ter,
swimmingpoolwater,ordomesticwater.Ineachof
thesecases,anintermediateheatexchangermustbein-
stalled.
Inthiscase,besuretorespecttheminimumwa-
ter
contentbyincorporatinganaccumulationtankifne-
cessary.
 If
thedeviceistobeconnectedinparalleltoaboilerwhi-
le
itisinoperation,makesurethatthetemperatureofthe
watercirculatinginsidethe heatpumpdoes notexceed
60°C.
Itismandatoryto:
• Followingthesystem'sinstallationandaftereachrepair,
thoroughlycleantheentiresystem,payingparticularat-
tention
tothestatusofthelter.
• Install air vent valves at the pipes' highest points;
• Installexibleelasticjointstoconnectthepipes.
• Inordertopreventtheformationoficeduringdefrosting
operations, or the continuous modulation of the com-
pressor's
frequency,makesurethattheamountofwater
intheprimarycircuitisgreaterthantheminimumvolu-
me;
 It
isforbiddentooperatetheunitwithoutthewaterlter
installedandproperlycleaned.
