Hardware
ThecontrolsystemconsistsofaboardcalledNRCP2-BASEfor
aunitwithuptotwocompressors.
The units with heat pumps, equipped with elec
-
tric
 heating element, have an additional board called
PD-AUX
NRCP2-BASE board manages the information ow
from the various pressure and temperature probes.
The
 userinterfaceincludes analphanumeric displaywith 8
lines,twoLEDs,venavigationkeysandaknobtocontrolthe
contrast.
Power supply
Allboardsarepoweredbya24Valternatingcurrent.Incase
ofpowerblackout,theunitwillautomaticallyrestartwithout
theneedofanexternalcommand.
Respect connection correct polarity to avoid
damages
tothecontrolboards.
LED signals on the electronic boards
Allelectronicboardsinsidetheunitconstantlycheckthecor-
rect operation of their electronic circuits. Each one of them
includ
esaLEDindicatingboardoperationstatus.
Signallingcouldbeasfollows:
• Flashing red LED (ON with a frequency of two seconds):
indicates
boardcorrectoperation.
• FlashingredLED(ONwithafrequencyotherthantwoseconds):
indicates
aboardmalfunctioning.
• FlashinggreenLEDonallboards:boardsarecommunicating
correctly
throughtheinternalbus.
• SteadygreenLED:boardshaveabuswiringproblem.
• Flashing orange LED (on Master board only):
 It
indicatesthattheboardiscommunicatingthroughthe
CCN bus.
Sensors
Measurementdevicesinsidetheunit-alsocalledsensors-
are:
• Pressure sensors: there are two electronic
 sensors
positionedinthehighandlowpressurelines o f
the cooling circuit.
• Temperature sensors: there are two sensors positioned
 upstream
anddownstreamtheplateexchanger.
• Outside temperature sensor: tted on the unit,
 under
ametalplate.
• Temperature sensor (for cascading machines –
 optional):
 used only in case of a cascading connection
 of
 two units and controls system water
temperature.
• Temperature sensor to measure the evaporation
 temperature
intheexchangerblock.
