Remote Control via GPIB
1. Connect the Instrument
Connect the multimeter to PC using GPIB cable.
2. Configure GPIB Address
Select GPIB interface and configure its address according to “Interface
Configurations” in chapter 2.
3. Search RS232 Devices
Turn on the Ultra Sigma and click
to enter the communication
setting interface as shown in the figure below. Click “Search” and the software
will search the GPIB instrument resources connected to the PC. The device
resources will be displayed on the right side of the panel.
If resources can not be found automatically:
Select the GPIB card address of the PC from the comboBox of “GPIB::”
and select the GPIB address set in the instrument from the comboBox of
“::INSTR”.
Click “Test” to check whether the GPIB communication works normally; if
not, please follow the corresponding prompt messages to solve the
problem.
4. View GPIB Device
Click “OK” and the software return to its main interface. The searched
instruments are shown under the “RIGOL Online Resource” directory, as
