Loading Errors (DCV)
Measurement loading errors occur when the resistance of the device-under-test
(DUT) takes up a certain percentage in the multimeter’s own input resistance. The
diagram below shows this error source.

Ri = input resistance of the multimeter (10 MΩ or >10 )

To reduce the effect of loading errors and noise interference, you can set the input
resistance of the multimeter to “>10GΩfor 200 mV, 2 V and 20 V ranges, and
“10MΩ” for the 200 V and 1000 V ranges.
