User’s Guide for DM3068
To Measure Frequency and Period
Frequency (Period) Range: from 3 Hz to 1 MHz (from 0.33 s to 1 μs)
Input Signal Range: 200 mV, 2 V, 20 V, 200 V, 750 V
Input Protection: a 750 V input protection is available in all ranges.
To obtain the measured signal’s frequency and period, directly press
or use
the secondary measurement function during voltage or current measurment.
Operating Steps:
1. Enable the FREQ/PERIOD measurement
Press
at the front panel to select frequency/period measurement and to
enter either interface shown below.
2. Make connection
Connect the test lead with the measured signal by referring to
“Measurement Connections”.
3. Set the range
Specify an appropriate range (the resolution is fixed at 6

2
) according to the
measured signal and measurement requirements.
4. Set the measurement parameters (Optional)
In FREQ/PERIOD measurement, you can set the gate time and filter as
required. For details, please refer to “Measurement Configuration”.
