Quality Control Testing
As with all systems it is important to check the quality of your
results. Roche Diagnostics has addressed this issue by producing a
comprehensive internal and external Quality Support Programme for
their Blood Glucose monitoring system. This ensures that errors are
detected and rectified at the time of testing. Reliable and accurate
Blood Glucose results will give you complete confidence in any
therapeutic or patient management decision.
• Performa Glucose Control Solution consists of two glucose
control solutions: one with a low value, the other with a high value.
• Quality control testing should be performed to assess the
accuracy of the strips and the Accu-Chek
®
Inform II.
To perform a Quality Control Test
you will need:
• Accu-Chek
®
Inform II
• Performa Glucose Test Strips
• Performa Glucose Control Solutions
How to perform Control Testing
1. Press the Power On/Off Button to power on the Meter.
2.
Once the Accu-Chek
®
Inform II Startup screen appears, press
to display the Operator ID screen (if required).
3.
Enter or scan Operator ID then press to display the
Main Menu screen.
4.
Press Control Test and then press Glucose Control Test.
• Press control level to be run.
• Verify Control Solution Lot number.
• If correct, press
• If incorrect, press X
5.
If X, enter new Control solution information, then press to display
the Use Strip Lot screen.
