3 Repairs
This chapter describes the R&S ZVB`s construction, simple procedures for repairs, troubleshooting and
board replacement. A selftest which checks the diagnostic voltages of the board and indicates limit
violations is provided for troubleshooting and diagnostics.
Chapter 4 of this service manual describes the installation of options and firmware updates.

The R&S ZVB’s construction is shown schematically by the following block diagrams and the exploded
drawings (see also Chapter 5).
The block diagram will help clarify the following function description of the instrument.
