27. Remove the suction bowl’s plug from the suction bowl.
28. Remove the impeller’s shaft from the intermediate bowl assembly and from the suction
bowl assembly.
29. Untighten and remove the hex bolts than secure the suction bowl assembly to the
intermediate bowl assembly.
30. Remove the bowl bushing from the intermediate bowl assembly.
31. Remove the suction bowl sand collar from the suction bowl.
32. Remove the suction bowl bushing from the suction bowl.
33. Untighten and remove the bolts that secure the second intermediate bowl to the first
intermediate bowl.
34. Remove the second intermediate bowl from the first intermediate bowl.
35. Remove the impeller bushing from inside the impeller.
36. Remove the impeller from inside the intermediate bowl.
37. Remove the bowl wear ring from the intermediate bowl.
38. Remove the impeller wear ring from the impeller. If your pump’s size is 100, 200, 600, 650,
850 or 950 then skip this step.
39. Repeat steps 33 thru 38 to remove any additional intermediate bowls your pump is
equipped with.
8.2 INSPECTION AND CLEANING
1. Thoroughly clean all parts and dry with compressed air or a clean, lint free cloth.
2. Inspect all components for corrosion, erosion, pitting, and scoring. If required, replace
with Ruhrpumpen O.E.M. genuine replacement parts.
a. Visual check all individual parts for any damage.
b. Check the bowls for wear.
c. Check the impellers for wear.
d. Check the radial clearance for wear.
e. Check the antifriction bushings.
f. Check all auxiliary piping.
g. Check for transmission elements of the coupling.
