5 Rotate R6 CW until the meter deflects up to approximately 5.5V.
6 Place the RF METER switch in FRWD and adjust the power output to the desired carrier
level.
7 Place the MODE switch in the IDENT position.
8 Adjust R22 CW until the meter deflects between 5.5 and 12V during ident.
Note: Check that meter continues to deflect after adjustment tool is removed.
Note: An analog meter or oscilloscope is easier to read than a digital meter for this
adjustment.
4.8.6 Automatice Shutdown Test
To check the automatic shutdown feature for ident failure, place the MODE switch in CONT.
After a delay of 15 to 60 seconds, the transmitter will shut down. Reset the system. To check for
the decrease of power shutdown feature, decrease the power to a level below the desired
automatic shutdown level. After a delay of 15 to 60 seconds, the transmitter will shut down.
Reset the system and readjust the RF LEVEL for full power.
4.8.7 Dual System (Optional)
Repeat Modulation adjustments for the second transmitter.
NOTE: With a dual system the secondary transmitter can be operated into a dummy load for
test purposes while the primary transmitter is operating into the antenna. Connect the
dummy load to the rear panel STANDBY OUTPUT connector and place the NORMAL/TEST
switch in test. Transfer action is inhibited while in this mode.
