5.1.7 Meter Adjustment
1. Set RF METER switch to REFL.
2 Turn R6 on AMTR1 PWB CW for a readable needle indication on the power scale. See
figure "AMTR1 PWB Diagram."
3 Adjust C2 on the HWRF PWB for a dip of the meter indication.
4 Set RF METER switch to FRWD.
5 Adjust R5 on AMTR1 PWB for the correct power reading.
6 Turn RF LEVEL CCW.
7 Disconnect the Dummy Load.
8 Slowly turn RF LEVEL CW for a reading of 20% of full power.
9 Set RF METER Switch to REFL.
10 Adjust R6 on the AMTR1 PWB for the same reading as in FRWD Power.
11 Turn RF LEVEL CCW and reconnect the Dummy Load.
12 Adjust RF LEVEL for full rated power.
13 Place MODE switch in CONT and adjust MOD for 95% modulation using the oscilloscope
wave form.
14 Place RF METER switch in READ and adjust METER SET for a meter reading of 95%.
15 Place MODE switch in CARR and RF METER switch in SET. Adjust R2 on the AMTR1 PWB
for a meter reading at the SET line.
5.1.8 Audio PWB (Optional)
1. Turn RF OFF. Place jumper on Tone Key PWB from A to B for normal simultaneous code
tone and voice modulation. Apply 1000 Hz audio signal of approximately 1V p-p to the Audio
Input on the transmitter rear panel. Adjust R6 and/or S1 for a 70% reading on the AUDIO
meter.
2 Turn R20 and R44 fully CW. Turn RF ON. Place RF METER switch in READ.
3 Adjust R20 CCW for 85% on the meter.
Notice
A change in the value of the DIP of the reflected voltage due
to the adjustment of C2 on the HWRF/KWRF PWB requires the
recalibration of both the forward and the reflected power meter
indications.
